Look Ben, I think that Zoos were an invention of the industrial revolution: so that people who left their farms and nature to go work for material things in factories, would still be able to see some animals sometimes. So they locked these animals into the zoos in the cities for people’s entertainment. Then they brought animals from far away jungles to places like Europe and America, to show children what they look like, supposedly for educational purposes. But what a horrible prize these poor animals had to pay, to lose their freedom for that. I think that’s the wrong kind of education.

my best friend is an atheist, but whenever she is comforting me with something in my life she uses examples of God to help me because she knows it makes me feel better, and vice versa, when i comfort her i never bring up God because i respect that it’s not something that helps or works for her
i feel like this is a model of how the world should work
